Couch Boat

I’ve been hoping for an opportunity to take the couch out on the water again. This time safely in the confines of Clint’s boat. It was a nice morning, not as still as we had hoped but clear weather and smooth enough not to rock the boat. That is until Clint latched onto the mother lode, a local fish which unusually spends most of its time on land. On closer inspection we realised it was only a tree, but the excitement got the better of us. After calming down we took a cruise up the river where the water became still and almost mirror like. It is an unusual feeling sitting in a couch on a boat. Normally your bum would be sore within 5 minutes from sitting on cold metal surface of the aluminium frame, or if you are lucky the hard plastic of the skippers chair. We returned to shore without incident however we were reminded by the canoeists that we had forgotten our coffee table, a rookie mistake on a morning of couch boating.
